An office or tech park can look attractive in a media plan because many people pass through it. That alone does not make it the right place for your brand. A good campaign starts with the people you need to reach, the part of their workday when your message is relevant and a screen position they can actually see.
Match the venue to the customer
A quick-service restaurant near an office campus may want to reach people deciding where to eat after work. A premium education provider may be interested in working professionals considering a career change. A B2B product may need a different audience altogether: being in a building with professionals does not prove that budget owners or decision-makers will see the screen.
Ask for current venue details: building or campus, locality, screen position, hours of operation, who can access the area and any venue content rules. Avoid buying the label “tech park audience” without those specifics.
Compare screen positions
- Entrance and lobby: useful for repeated brand visibility, if the screen is in the natural line of sight.
- Lift waiting area: useful for short, simple messages people can read while stationary.
- Cafeteria or breakout area: may suit a slightly richer message, depending on where the screen sits and how long people can see it.
- Reception: may reach visitors as well as staff; decide whether both groups matter to the campaign.
Request a photo or site visit. Check for glare, distance, competing signs and whether the ad is legible from the viewer's normal position.
Write for the workday moment
Lead with one relevant reason to remember the brand. “Dinner near your office” is more useful in an evening dining context than a generic restaurant slogan. “Explore a weekend programme” may fit an education advertiser better than a long course catalogue. Keep the brand visible and the action simple. The silent-screen creative guide gives a fuller checklist.
Set a brand and performance measure
For brand growth, record branded searches or source mentions from the target area. For performance, use a dedicated landing page, offer code or enquiry question and assess the quality of resulting leads. Ask the operator for ad-play evidence and a transparent audience estimate, if one is supplied. Do not assume every person entering the campus viewed the ad.
